Morphology

Scapes4-17 cm long, terete.
Leavespetiolate.
Blades7-14 cm long x 5.5-10.2 cm wide, not mottled.
Flowersessile.
Sepals22-47 mm long x 7-10 mm wide.
Petals30-55 mm long x 4-10 mm wide, red, maroon, purple, green or yellow, not spirally twisted.
Anthers16-20 mm long, with latrorse dehiscence.
Ovary4-9 mm long.
Stigmas7-20 mm long.

Anthesis

Flowering from early April through May.


Distribution

United States: Idaho, Oregon, and Washington.
