Morphology

Scapes17-30 cm, terete.
Leavessessile.
Blades6.5-16 cm long x 5-8 cm wide, mottled, mottling fading with age.
Flowersessile.
Sepals16-25 mm long x 4-8 mm wide.
Petals22-45 mm long x 4-10 mm wide, not spirally twisted or weakly so.
Anthers9-11(-13) mm long, with latrorse dehiscence.
Ovary4-8 mm long.
Stigmas3-4.5 mmm long, distinct.

Anthesis

Flowering from late March to early May.


Distribution

United States: Oregon and Washington.
