Morphology

Scapes20-50 cm, terete.
Leavessessile to shortly petiolate.
Blades7-12 cm long x 5-20 cm wide.
Flowerpedicellate.
Sepals15-50 mm long x 6-20 mmm wide.
Petals15-70 mm long x 10-40 mm wide, white or white with pink or bluish markings,or pink.
Anthers4-16 mm long, yellow, with latrorse dehiscence.
Ovary5-12 mm long, hexagonal.
Stigmas6-10 mm long, scarcely connate at the base.

Anthesis

Flowering from late February to July.


Distribution

Canada: Alberta and British Columbia.

United States: California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, and Wyoming.
