Leavessessile.
Blades8-17(-19) cm long x 4.9-8.5 cm wide, tips acute.
Flowersessile.
Sepals36-68 mm long x 12-21 mm wide.
Petals50-90 mm long x 10-20 mm wide, not spirally twisted.
Anthers10-15 mm long, yellow, with latrorse dehiscence.
Ovary6-13 mm long.
Stigmas3-12 mm long.
Fruitdark green to purple.

Anthesis

Flowering from late January to early April.


Distribution

United States: Alabama, Florida, and Georgia.
