Morphology

Scapesterete, 20 - 65 cm tall.
Leavessessile.
Blades7-17.6 cm long x 7.4-17.7 cm wide.
Flowersessile, erect.
Sepalsgreen, 35-65 mm long x 7-12 mm wide.
Petals65-100 mm long x 15-25 mm long, variously colored.
Anthers13-22 mm long, purple to brown, with introrse dehiscence.
Ovary6-12 mm long.
Stigmas4-8 mm long, purple.
Fruit2.5-3 cm long.

Distribution

United States: California.
