Morphology

Scapesterete, 25-60 cm tall.
Leavessubsessile.
Bladessparingly mottled or not, 10-22 cm long x 8.7-15 cm wide, tip obtuse.
Flowererect, sessile.
Sepals3.5-4.7 cm long x 0.8-1.0 cm wide, maroon to green, tips acute.
Petals5-10 cm long x 0.7-1.4 cm wide, tips acute to obtuse.
Anthers12-18 mm long, purple.
Ovary7.5-12 mm long.
Stigmas(4.5)5(5.5) mm long.
Fruitdark purple.

Anthesis

Flowering from March to June.


Distribution

United States: California and Oregon.
