Brief Description

A Pooid grass to 85 cm tall. Ligules (0.7)1.2-4.0 mm long. Blades 3-10 cm long; 1-2 mm wide.

Panicle (5)10-25(36) cm long. Spikelets 1-flowered, laterally-compressed. Glumes 1-veined, 1-2 mm long. Lemma 0.8-1.2 mm, 5-veined, unawned. Palea absent or to 0.2 mm long. Anthers 3.
