Distribution

Description

Flowering summer.
Height 35-105 cm.
Inflorescence      spike.
Leaves two to five; blade lanceolate to oblong to elliptic.
Flowers
purple to pink-purple, resupinate; lip divided into three
primary lobes, central lobe usually divided into
two secondary lobes; lip margins dentate to erose, to rarely entire; lateral sepal  margins entire; dorsal sepal margins
erose to dentate.
Spur club shaped.
Rostellum lobes oriented forward.
Viscidia circular to subcircular.

 

Habitat

Seepy areas, wet woodlands, wet prairies.
