Distribution

Description

Flowering summer.
Height    30-80 cm.
Inflorescence    a spike.
Leaves
one to three; blade linear to lanceolate to oblong.
Flowers
orange to orange-yellow, resupinate;  all sepals
entire; lip one-lobed, margin  fringed.
Spur    terete.
Rostellum  oriented downward.
Viscidia  circular to subcircular.

 

Habitat

Sandy, wet to dry woods, pine barrens and meadows.
