Description

Fruiting period April to September (November).
Culm height 02 - 90cm.
Leaf 0.8 - 5.4 mm wide.
Terminal spike    androgynous to staminate
Lateral spike androgynous to pistillate.
Perigynium circular to subcircular. 
Achene trigonous in cross section.
Style deciduous in cross section.

Calcareous soils; limestone quarries, fens
