Description

Fruiting period June to August.
Culm height 30 - 100 cm.
Leaf 4.5 - 15   mm wide.
Terminal spike    staminate.
Lateral spike pistillate.
Perigynium

circular to  subcircular in cross section. 

Achene trigonous in cross section.
Style persistent.

Habitat

Seepy areas; fens to floating bogs; extremophilic.
