Description

Fruiting period	June to September.
Culm height	25 - 80 cm.
Leaf	2 - 3  mm wide.
Terminal spike	staminate.
Lateral spike	pistillate.
Perigynium	circular to subcircular in cross section.
Achene	trigonous in cross section.
Style	deciduous.

Habitat

Meadows, well drained soils.
