Leaf 2 -3   mm wide.
Terminal spike gynecandrous.
Lateral spike pistillate.
Perigynium biconvex to sub circular  in cross section.
Achene trigonous.
Style deciduous.

Habitat

Rockys soils at higher elevations; 2900 - 3800 m.
